It is that time of year again! The weather becomes chilly, snow starts to hit the ground, and all we want to do is curl up with blankets and keep warm. Food can help keep us warm. There are many different things that we can eat to make us feel warm and cozy in the winter time. Soup is one of my favourite things to eat during the winter months. There is probably a soup out there for everyone that is personalized to their specific tastes. For me, my favourite kind of soup is pea soup with little ham bits. This is originally from Quebec, and it is a favourite to most Quebecers. It is made with chick peas, not the little green peas. Another winter favourite is hot chocolate. Instead of going for actual chocolate, I can bust my cravings and keep warm at the same time. Who wouldn't want that? Hot chocolate is my personal favourite, but coffee and tea can also keep people warm and they taste good. These two things are my personal favourites in the Winter season and they taste really good. However, there are many ways in which people can stay warm by eating food, everyone just has to find out what works best for themselves.
Happy eating and stay warm!

Food 'R' US
Kids love food. They are constantly eating because they are constantly on the go and of course, are growing individuals. This website gives a little bit of a background into what kids like to eat and how to keep them healthy when they try and grab those chips and candy. Sometimes it is hard, because parents become really busy within their every day lives, and just want something easy. However, there are still solutions to quick, easy AND healthy snacks!

Just like ME!
Another website that I decided to use was culiblog, which is actually just another blog about food and food culture. In this blog, the blogger has actually traveled to different places in order to get the full experience of the food and culture. This not only makes it easier for the blogger to get a full understanding of the culture, but also the reader. I really wish that for my blog I could have done some traveling, perhaps in the future. In the blog, the blogger has also talked about different seasons. This is very interesting, because according to the season, people might eat a certain way. Which of course is also due to the culture, because not everywhere in the world the seasons are the same at the same time.
In my opinion this blog is very well done and also very interesting.
This blog has a lot of the same ideas that I am trying to portray in my blog.

The Food Network

The Food Network is filled with amazing ideas on food and culinary ideas. It is one of the best channels on TV, by far, because it has an immense amount of ideas that can be used to cook, bake, BBQ, (and more!) food. Anyone can follow recipes on these shows, because the shows range in how intense the cooking process is; there is something for everyone!. One of my favourite shows on the Food Network is, Diner, Drive-ins, and Dives, because the host of the shows goes to the little places all around the USA, that are not very known, but are town favourites, and the food is usually incredibly tasty. The reason that I choose this website is because my blog is about food...what better way to link up my blog then with a website that is ALSO all about food?
